Performed by Michael Rooney, The Macalla Orchestra & Ulster University Choir. The performance will coincide with the exhibition Coming Home: Art and the Great Hunger. This suite of music was commissioned by Imbolc Festival 2019.

Michael Rooney: “I'm delighted to bring the score of 'The Famine Suite' back to life again, twenty two years after it was written. It was my first suite of music and this time around it's been a labour of love orchestrating this suite. It will be my pleasure to work on it with some of the finest musicians in Ireland.”
